Who We Are

Independent. Unaffiliated. Honest.

Hey. If you've made it to this page, you're probably wondering who's behind OmegleLust and whether you can actually trust what we write. Fair enough - there's a lot of garbage out there in the random video chat space, and skepticism is healthy.

OmegleLust started in 2024 as a small, independent blog with one simple goal: cut through the noise and give people real, honest information about adult random video chat platforms.

We're not a corporation. We're not backed by any cam site or chat platform. We're a small team of writers and researchers who have spent way too much time on sites like Omegle (back when it existed), Chatroulette, Emerald Chat, and pretty much every random chat platform that's launched since. We know the landscape because we've lived in it.

What We Do

Three types of content, one standard: honesty.

1. Platform Reviews

We actually test the platforms we review. That means signing up, using the features, talking to real users, and documenting what works and what doesn't. We don't just rewrite marketing copy from a platform's homepage - we give you the unfiltered experience.

Our reviews cover things that matter: how many real users are online, whether the gender filters actually work, how aggressive the moderation is, what you can expect to pay (and whether it's worth it), and whether the platform is crawling with bots.

2. Safety & Privacy Guides

The random video chat world has real risks. We've seen what happens when people don't take privacy seriously. Our safety guides are based on real-world experience and published best practices from organizations like the Electronic Frontier Foundation and cybersecurity resources like Have I Been Pwned.

3. Industry News & Cultural Coverage

The Omegle shutdown in November 2023 changed everything. The BBC's reporting on Omegle's safety failures and the subsequent legal fallout reshaped the entire industry. We cover these developments because they affect every platform and every user in this space.

Our Standards

What we promise and how we operate.

Our Promise

We don't take money for reviews. If a platform is bad, we say it's bad. We disclose affiliate relationships openly. We correct our mistakes.

  • No paid reviews. If a platform is bad, we say it's bad. If a platform pays well but delivers a mediocre experience, we'll tell you exactly that.
  • Full affiliate disclosure. Some of the links on OmegleLust are affiliate links. That means if you click through and sign up for a platform, we might earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the lights on. See our Disclaimer.
  • We correct mistakes. If we get something wrong, we update it. You'll see edit dates at the top of posts that have been revised.
  • Adults only. Every platform we cover requires users to be 18 or older. If you're under 18, this site is not for you.

Why Trust Us

Track record speaks for itself.

We've been covering this space since before Omegle shut down. We've tested over 40 random video chat platforms. We've written safety guides that have been referenced on Reddit communities discussing post-Omegle alternatives. We don't claim to be the only source you should trust - but we do claim to be honest.

If you ever find something we've written that's inaccurate or misleading, contact us. We'd rather fix it than be wrong.
